THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV COLLABORATION WITH DEAD OR ALIVE 6 LAST ROUND
Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA announced that the iconic characters Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond, from the highly popular SNK fighting game THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV, will be joining the cast of DEAD OF ALIVE 6 Last Round as collaborative DLCs* alongside the newly enhanced stage, LOST PARADISE “OBORO”. DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round and DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters are planned for release on 25th June 2026 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Windows via Steam®.
Initially released as collaboration DLC for DEAD OF ALIVE 6 in 2019, Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond return in DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round. Both characters will be released as DLC at the game’s release alongside a costume set** that includes 5 stylish outfits.
Players can also look forward to bringing the fight to the newly enhanced LOST PARADISE “OBORO” stage. OBORO is a new lighting system introduced to the KATANA ENGINE™, offering more realistic illumination created by natural ambient light and shadows. OBORO versions of other stages will be added to the game as they become available.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round is the definitive version of DEAD OR ALIVE 6 which originally released in 2019 and shipped over 900,000 copies worldwide. The game has been optimised for the latest hardware and includes the original 24 characters alongside five characters from the game’s DLC lineup (Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki). In addition, popular characters such as Kasumi and Marie Rose will receive five costumes inspired by other Team NINJA titles. In the free-to-play DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters edition, Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO will be available for use from launch. Photo Mode and online modes*** “DOA Quest” and “DOA Central” will also be playable.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round is currently in development and scheduled to release on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam®. A free-to-play edition, DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round Core Fighters, will also launch simultaneously alongside the standard edition on 25th June 2026.
*Additional DLC characters Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond can be purchased separately. Prices will be communicated at a later date. Character licenses for Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond cannot be carried over from DEAD OR ALIVE 6.
** The costume set includes the following costumes: Happy Wedding Costume, Pirates of the 7 Seas Costume, Nurse Costume, Maid Costume and Sexy Bunny Costume.
***All modes except Story Mode will be available. Story Mode is playable with the purchase of the Story Unlock DLC.
