The all-new LEGO MYTHICA experience is coming LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre this winter!

LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre is excited to announce that an all-new LEGO® MYTHICA experience will be arriving at the ultimate indoor LEGO playground for the winter school holidays. To celebrate the upcoming event, the attraction is calling on kids to use their imagination to create their very own mythical creature!

The incredible world of LEGO MYTHICA – launching at LEGOLAND theme parks overseas this year – is a parallel universe to ours, where LEGO creatures come to life. It’s full of epic adventures, powerful guardians and mysterious creatures all waiting to be discovered. The LEGO MYTHICA experience at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre will include a brand-new LEGO 4D movie, building workshops, a scavenger hunt and more.

To celebrate the upcoming launch, Master Model Builder Kieran Jiwa is giving one lucky winner the opportunity to contribute to the world of LEGO MYTHICA and have their very own mythical creature brought to life! Kieran will recreate the winner’s design in LEGO to be displayed at the attraction during the winter school holidays from 26 June – 11 July 2021.

“This competition calls on kids to use their imagination to design their own weird and wonderful interpretation of a mythical creature. It could be ugly, elegant, terrifying, mysterious or beautiful – we want kids to embrace their creativity to come up with the most unique creature they can think of! It could be a supernatural animal, a hybrid of multiple animals, or a creature that is part human part animal,” said Kieran Jiwa, Master Model Builder at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre.

After the winter school holidays, the lucky winner will be able to take home the incredible LEGO creation they designed, which will be up to one metre tall and made of thousands of LEGO bricks! The winner’s awesome prize pack will also include a Platinum Merlin Annual Pass for two people and a LEGO goodie bag.

The competition is open to kids aged from 5-10 who can submit their entry online by uploading an image (photograph, drawing, digital rendering or 3D model) of their creative interpretation of a unique mythical creature by Wednesday 12 May 2021. Located at Chadstone Shopping Centre, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is an indoor LEGO playground that features MINILAND Melbourne, two rides, multiple build and play zones, soft play zones, a 4D cinema, and a LEGO retail store. The attraction is designed specifically for families with children aged 3-10. Adults must be accompanied by a child (except when visiting the retail store or attending Adult Night events). The attraction is open from Thursday – Monday during school term and seven days a week during the school holidays. All guests must pre-book their tickets online.
