Summary: That Cat Book is a funny rhyming book about cats in all sorts of human-like scenarios!

4.5

Cat-tastic!

That Cat is written by Jacqueline Harvey and illustrated by Kate Isobel Scott that together… create a wonderful book about “that cat” which is filled with rhymes and stunning illustrations that almost jump from the page. The book also features cats in all sorts of different scenarios from a rat cat like the pied piper to Bat Cat (aka Batman) to Brat Cat (the naughty toddler in the supermarket) and of course Hat Cat to name a few of the cats who grace this book.

While there is no story per se, it is a celebration about cats in all sorts silly scenarios that will bring a smile to younger readers and best of all, it’s a relatively short book to read which makes it perfect for bedtime! Additionally the art work suits this clever premise perfectly and the fun and colourful illustrations of Kate Isobel Scott nicely complement the story telling of Jacqueline Harvey.
