Sydney Royal Easter Show 2026: A Sneak Peek at the Showbags
As reported on Impulse Gamer, Showbags.com.au has unveiled its most diverse and value packed range yet for the 2026 Sydney Royal Easter Show and Sydneysiders are in for a frenzy of big bargains and big name brands. The family owned company has been a fixture of the Show for more than 70 years, consistently blending global trends with nostalgic favourites and this year’s lineup seriously contains something for everyone.
The 2026 assortment introduces a wave of major debuts that tap directly into heavyweights such as Stranger Things, Dora the Explorer and Squid Game, while Japanese icons including One Piece and Keroppi continue the surge in kawaii driven demand.
Returning favourites such as Barbie, Bluey, Friends, Paw Patrol and Pusheen are all back with new items that offer additional surprises to fans. Japanese trends continue to dominate the Show and Showbags.com.au has leaned into this with One Piece, Keroppi, Pokémon, Kuromi and Hello Kitty showbags.
Chocolate and confectionery lovers are also spoilt for choice and again, 2026 is no exception as this year’s range spans everything from Cadbury classics to American icons like Reese’s and Hershey’s plus the Easter Show debut of Nerds Gummy Clusters. Australian favourites such as Zappos and Life Savers return plus the staples of Darrell Lea.
A Sneak Peek
Thanks to Showbags.com.au we were given an exclusive early look at three bags in this year’s lineup with Pusheen, Hello Kitty and the Darrell Lea Licorice Showbag.
Did they live up to the showbag hype? They certainly did.
The Hello Kitty showbag is a celebration of Sanrio charm anchored by a stylish tote bag that feels sturdy enough for everyday use. Inside, fans will find a super large drink bottle, a cute handbag, socks, charms, stickers and a generous assortment of accessories that make the bag feel premium. It is a standout for collectors and younger fans alike and easily one of the most giftable bags of the year.
Equally delightful is the Pusheen showbag which leans into the brand’s cosy aesthetics. The “Milk Bottle” drink bottle was an instant favourite with our girls that also included a matching bag, keyring, charms and a pair of super warm bed socks.
For the adults or anyone with a deep love of classic Australian confectionery, the Darrell Lea Licorice Showbag is a must. It is packed with delicious Liquorice Original Twists, Raspberry Twists, Liquorice Allsorts and the famed Batch 37 Fresh Liquorice Super Set. It is nostalgic, generous and dare I say absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious in true Willy Wonka fashion. While our kids gravitated toward the kawaii themed bags, we the parents were more than happy to “inspect” the Darrell Lea selection repeatedly.
The 2026 Sydney Royal Easter Show runs from 2–13 April at Sydney Showground in Sydney Olympic Park. Established in 1823 and presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, the Show remains Australia’s largest annual ticketed event, drawing millions for its agricultural showcases, carnival attractions, food experiences, live entertainment and of course the iconic showbag pavilion. Proceeds support agricultural education and rural communities across New South Wales, ensuring the Show’s legacy continues well beyond its 12 day run.
