Summary: A good opportunity to just see these characters hanging out and not having to deal with deadly threats or save the world. Worth a look.

Fun

The students have a night on the town in New Orleans and we learn more about how Zoe came to be in the academy and her run-in with bad magic.

While there is an ongoing storyline in this series, it has been easy enough to dip in and out of these when I have gotten the chance to read them and have not felt like I was missing anything during the particular story I was reading. In this case it is more self-contained for this particular story even if there is a thread that is continuing on.

Most of the series has been set either within the school or in a location that could only be reached by magic so having the gang just walking down the street with normal people is different. There are some darker things hinted at but it is good to just see the characters having fun like normal people for once.

I would recommend this one if you are a fan of this series or enjoy any of the characters in it. There is a crossover coming with the Death of Dr Strange event but this is not that issue.
