After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic.
The Star Wars franchise has been a hit and a miss over the years but on 12 November 2019, this universe got its groove back courtesy of the hit-new Disney+ series, The Mandalorian starring Pedro Pascal which was created by Jon Favreau that was not only linked to the original franchise but successfully expanded the amazing universe of George Lucas. So as we followed the badass Mandalorian called Din Djarin who vowed to return The Child or fondly known on the internet as Baby Yoda to a place of safety from the Remnants of the Empire, this eight-part series ticked all the right boxes of Western meets Star Wars, including a wealth of amazing collectibles. Needless to say, Pedro Pascal’s “Mando” is one of the most impressive looking Star Wars characters to date that puts him right up there with Darth Vader and all the Imperial Troops.

THE REVIEW
Today, we’re checking out the amazing Star Wars The Black Series The Mandalorian Electronic Helmet from Hasbro that is a fully wearable Mandalorian helmet with both internal and external lights and looks nothing short of spectacular. More importantly this TV series accurate helmet from Disney+ is perfect in every sense of the world and when you wear it, you feel like Mando himself as your ready to take on the big bads of the Star Wars universe, so watch-out Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), there’s another new sheriff in town. Also, if the Black Series helmets sound familiar, that’s because Hasbro have released a wide gamut of them from Storm Troopers to Darth Vader and even a Luke Skywalker Battle Simulator Helmet… or if you want to feel like a superhero, there’s even Iron Man and Ant-Man helmets.
Additionally, the Star Wars The Black Series The Mandalorian Electronic Helmet is beautifully presented by Hasbro from its stunning box that is almost a shame to throw away to its packaging that ensures this collectible arrives safely at your home. Once out of the box, the first thing you notice about this helmet is attention to detail itself which really has this mesmerising effect because it looks identical to the one from the TV series. Given that it is a full-size helmet, it’s quite lightweight and I love the illusion of metal (or Beskar) on the outside of the helmet as it looks quite real. The visor is fantastic and when you wear it, while it protects your identity, you can actually see quite a bit of the world, so no bumping into things. There are a few steps however which includes installing the removable tactical light and a battery to power this and the lights inside the helmet.
One draw back was the lack of instructions with this step and I needed to Google how to safely remove the attachment in order to install the tactical light. Rather than me trying to pry it off with force, you actually need to squeeze it and I wish this was explained better. The next step is to install one AA battery which is not included, then put it all back together which is very easy. Once done, the helmet is powered by a little button on the bottom that enables the tactical light. I also love how the red interior lights are activated when you turn this premium helmet upside and all in all, it’s a fantastic collectible from Hasbro that I seriously cannot fault and it will sit in a place of glory in my office. Lastly it has interior padding which can be adjusted to ensure that it fits a variety of head sizes, so look out, a new Mandolorian has been unleashed.

I love the Black Series from Hasbro and their latest addition, the Star Wars The Black Series The Mandalorian Electronic Helmet is now my favourite collectible and really does sit proudly in the forefront of my collection. It’s design is flawless that mirrors the actual helmet from the series and best of all, it’s fully wearable!
