Summary: While not an essential one to read in the Star Wars story, still worth a look if you are into these characters and want to find out more about them.

More backstory

After a mission gone wrong Sandra Bey (Poe Dameron’s mother) is stranded on the Tarkin’s Will and running out of time as she knows she will eventually be found. Back with the Rebels one last transmission comes from her and a personal message for her partner Kes Dameron. Even though she tells him she is lost, Kes decides to go rescue her anyway and people volunteer to go with him.

The Star Wars plot seems to have resumed its own path after the events of War of the Bounty Hunters and has not gone into the Crimson Reign plot yet so there is important backstory to fill in. I must admit that I was dirty on the creators trying to shoehorn new trilogy references into the original trilogy timelines but Poe Dameron’s parents do seem to be doing a lot of interesting stuff in their stories to make up for it.

While this is not really that action-packed of a story and kind off in its own storyline in terms of plot I would still recommend it if you are enjoying the storyline for these particular characters and want to find out what they are up to.
