If you’re looking to travel overseas and mobile data then Simify, an Australian-based provider of prepaid international travel eSIMs has you covered. Simify offers coverage in over 150 countries and it has been designed to help you avoid expensive roaming fees and more importantly, make connectivity a breeze.
So what is an eSIM?
That’s a good question and an eSIM (short for embedded SIM) is a digital version of a physical SIM card that is stored directly on your compatible handset. It performs the same function as a traditional SIM by connecting your device to a mobile network but does it without needing a removable card. It is the future!
How do you set it up?
Another good question! Simify offers users a couple of easy solutions that is a manual install or by activating it on your smartphone via a QR code. Once I completed my purchase with Simify for a 90-day play, I then downloaded the app on my smartphone that offered me two install options, either manual or via a QR code. I chose the QR code and within seconds, it had successfully added the correct settings on my phone.
I did reboot my phone after the setup and then changed the name to Simify and enabled data roaming and presto, I had internet access on my new Google Pixel 10 Pro without a SIM card. The network that Simify was using in Australia was Optus which is my main phone also but I had no issues whatsoever with the network. In terms of speed, it is 4G …
The only drawback is that you don’t get a local phone number as Simify eSIMs are data-only so if you want to make calls, you will need use a service like Facebook Messenger or Whats App. Also, there are no top-ups (that I can see) and once your plan expires, you will need to purchase a new eSIM. No biggies mind you.

Simify is an excellent choice for international travelers seeking affordable, hassle-free mobile data. While it lacks voice/SMS capabilities and app-based tracking, its ease of use, broad coverage and companion app makes it a standout choice for your next travel destination.
