SEGA Announces Nickelodeon Collaboration for Upcoming Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds!

During the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, as the kick-off to a larger campaign with the brand, SEGA announced an in-game collaboration with Nickelodeon for the highly anticipated Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. During a moment in the show, SEGA debuted an exclusive new trailer showcasing characters from the SpongeBob SquarePants universe racing alongside Sonic and friends. Fans also got a glimpse of the new SpongeBob SquarePants-themed vehicle and track, as well as a tease of future Nickelodeon-themed content from the Avatar universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

By purchasing the Sonic Racing: CrossWorldsSeason Pass, fans can experience the Nickelodeon content as well as the recently announced Minecraft characters, vehicles, and tracks, characters from the hit Netflix series, Sonic Prime, and two more yet-to-be-announced collaborations. Players can look forward to more details surrounding the Season Pass and Nickelodeon content soon!

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds features a huge roster of everyone’s favourite characters from the Sonic universe, which will continue to grow after launch with the addition of familiar faces from other SEGA franchises, including Joker and Kasuga Ichiban, and even guest characters like Hatsune Miku and more. These characters will be available to all players for free through a series of game updates.

Fans who pre-order Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds ahead of launch will receive an additional character – Sonic the Werehog from Sonic Unleashed™ – along with a special vehicle and decal!
