The Review
While new devices such as notebooks and Macbooks become more streamlined, this generally limits the number of ports on these devices and when you want to connect multiple devices, this becomes an issue. Thankfully Satechi have come to the rescue with their award-winning Type-C hubs and adapters that is all about expanding the number of accessories that you can connect to your notebook or Macbook. The Satechi Slim Type-C Multi-Port Adapter V2 is also quite small and comes in three stylish colours that include space grey (reviewed), silver and gold. Additionally it feels quite well-built that makes it ideal for travel as well!
We also tested this product on our Lenovo notebook and once the adapter was plugged into a spare USB-C port, we were ready to go. So while we lost one USB-C port on the notebook which you do get back, we gained an additional micro/SD card reader, USB-C Power Delivery (PD), 4K HDMI and another USB 3.0 port. This meant I could connect my cordless mouse USB dongle, smartphone and an external monitor via 4K HDMI port. There is also a small light on the Satechi Slim Type-C Multi-Port Adapter V2 that is illuminated once it is connected to your device in order to inform the user that it is working. It’s that easy and inclusion of the card reason is also a great bonus.
So as you can see from the above image, you get six inputs from one connection!
