RETURN, BRAVE ONES, FOR “THE HEROES OF MIGHT AND MAGIC: 30TH ANNIVERSARY RETROSPECTIVE”

Dark Horse Books, in collaboration with Ubisoft, presents The Heroes of Might and Magic: 30th Anniversary Retrospective! Written by game designer, filmmaker, author and former developer of New World Computing, the original creators of Might and Magic, Neal Hallford (Betrayal at Krondor, Dungeon Siege), this expansive new hardcover book takes fans of the turn-based strategy fantasy game behind the scenes of the making of each Heroes of Might and Magic installment. It will arrive in stores in the fall of 2025.

About The Heroes of Might and Magic: 30th Anniversary Retrospective:

When New World Computing released the original Heroes of Might and Magic in 1995, players were elated to take control of bold heroes who led vast armies composed of creatures from modest peasants to fearsome dragons. In the decades that followed, the games have only become more ambitious, featuring thrilling narratives, unforgettable art, and iconic gameplay. Now, readers can learn the secrets behind the development of each main game in the definitive turn-based strategy series through never-before-seen art, documentation, and interviews with key members of the creative teams.

The Heroes of Might and Magic: 30th Anniversary Retrospective (192 pages, hardcover, 9” x 12”) will be available in bookstores and comic shops on October 28 and 29, 2025. It is now available to pre-order from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and your local comic shop or bookstore for $54.99.
