Rethink Noise Cancellation: Huawei Launches FreeBuds 3 Active Noise Cancellation Earbuds

Huawei has today announced FreeBuds 3 — the world’s first open-fit, active noise cancellation Bluetooth earphones. Combining superior sound quality, intelligent noise cancellation and up to four hours music playback per charge1, the FreeBuds 3 are an excellent companion for active Australians.

Whether listening to music, a podcast or making calls, the FreeBuds 3 are tailored to thrive in challenging environments. Huawei’s active noise cancellation algorithm blocks background noise for immersive listening, while the Kirin AI chip reduces Bluetooth interference for seamless connectivity. The built-in bone sensor also detects users’ head vibrations during speech, to further differentiate voices from ambient noise.

Larking Huang, Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group Australia said, “Huawei is renowned for developing innovative products that complement the daily lives of Australians. We’re very excited to launch a product that will offer a truly premium audio experience. Thanks to the impressive noise cancellation capabilities and supremely comfortable design, the FreeBuds 3 deliver unmatched clarity and performance in even the most challenging settings.”

When paired with the included charging case, FreeBuds 3 offer up to 20 hours music playback time — useful for the long summer days or when travelling. The rounded case easily fits into pockets and is compatible with wireless and USB-C charging.

The unique, rounded and open design means they fit perfectly into the human ear canal, for comfortable and secure positioning — even when active at the gym or enjoying the outdoors. For music lovers, the bass tubes and high-provision drivers deliver every note to their full potential.

The Huawei FreeBuds 3 retail at RRP AUD$299 and are available in two colours from 15 November – Carbon Black and Ceramic White – from Vodafone, Optus Selected Stores, Amazon, Mobileciti, Kogan, Happytel and Huawei Authorised Experience Store.

  1. Data based on test results from HUAWEI lab. Music playback tested with continuous music streaming on HUAWEI Music, with volume set to 50%. AAC encoding is selected with continuous music playback until both earbuds are completely out of battery power. Actual battery life is affected by volume, source, environmental interference, product features and usage habits.
