Razer Announces Global Partnership with Gravity

Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced a collaboration with Gravity Co., Ltd. (Gravity), a global online gaming company renowned for its wide range of games based on Ragnarok IP.

The collaboration focuses on Razer Gold and Razer Silver, Razer’s unified virtual credits service for gamers, and its integration into Gravity’s game titles. Currently, gamers in Southeast Asia can already make purchases for Ragnarok M: Eternal Love (mobile) through Razer Gold and it has enjoyed tremendous success.

Building on this success, Gravity and Razer Gold will be partnering to integrate more game titles globally with Razer Gold. The collaboration aims to enhance the gamers experience on Gravity’s latest titles which includes Ragnarok Crusade: Midgard Chronicles for PC and Ragnarok Origin, Ragnarok X New Generation, Ragnarok Tactics, The Lost Memories: Valkyrie Songs on mobile, the last of which was recently presented at the Global Game Exhibition G-STAR 2019, held in Busan, Korea.

Ragnarok Online is available in more than 80 regions with over 70 million registered users. Ragnarok M: Eternal Love achieved 30 million downloads globally since it was made available for download last year.

As the only virtual credit that is neutral across all games, Razer Gold aims to simplify payment processes for gamers by overcoming payment issues such as the lack of credit card or unsecured payment systems. Implementation of the virtual credit service facilitates the ease of access to secured payment methods for gamers and enables Gravity to make their games accessible to a wider audience.

In addition, gamers who make purchases via Razer Gold will receive loyalty points in the form of Razer Silver, which can be exchanged for attractive offers. The virtual credit is also available for purchase at over 1 million touchpoints offline and online – from its online website to convenience stores via gift cards.

“Gravity has been working with Razer Gold since 2016, which offered our users accessible and seamless payment,” said Harry Choi, Global Business Director of Gravity and Co-President of PT. Gravity Game Link. “We are excited to expand our collaboration and look forward to what we can achieve with Razer.”

Gravity’s new game titles announced at G-STAR 2019 will be supported by Razer Gold and Silver. Razer and Gravity are also exploring other areas of collaboration such as with Razer’s hardware and software businesses.

“We are incredibly excited about the opportunities that Gravity and Razer can work together on with this partnership,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer Co-Founder and CEO. “We hope that this will deliver a better gaming experience for Gravity’s gamers and grant easier access to Razer’s latest offerings.”
