PlayStation VR exclusive, Farpoint, launches in Australia today
Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia today announced that Farpoint, the new sci-fi first person shooter developed exclusively for PlayStation VR on PlayStation 4, launches today in Australia.
Playing as a space shuttle pilot, you are on a routine mission to pick up scientists from a space station when things take an unexpected and catastrophic twist. Crash landed and marooned in an alien world, your mission is to fight to survive as you explore and uncover the planet’s secrets in a unique VR first person experience.
Launching alongside Farpoint, the new PlayStation VR Aim Controller is a sleek peripheral that seeks to become the standard-bearer for VR first-person controllers.
Farpoint is available now in stores nationwide bundled along with the PS VR Aim controller for that extra level of immersion for a recommended retail price of AUD $129.95 or as a standalone game for AUD $89.95 RRP. Alternatively, the standalone game is also available to purchase digitally via the PlayStation Store.
To celebrate the launch, Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia is offering a limited time promotional offer. Running from the 17th – 23rd May 2017, players who purchase a PlayStation VR headset will receive a free copy of Farpoint.
