PlayStation Showcase coming on Friday, 10 September + Horizon Forbidden West pre-order available now

Sony Interactive Entertainment has today announced a PlayStation Showcase will be held on Friday, 10 September at 6:00 AM AEST.  In addition to this news, players can now pre-order Horizon Forbidden West ahead of its launch on Friday, 18 February 2022.

This showcase will provide players with a look into the future of the PS5 and will include updates from PlayStation Studios as well as some of the industry’s most imaginative developers. Stick around after the presentation concludes to get more updates from some of the studio teams featured in the Showcase.

Note: this showcase will not include updates on the next generation of PlayStation VR, but there will still be plenty of great PS5 games from developers large and small.

Be sure to tune in on Friday, 10 September at 6:00am AEST to watch the episode live on YouTube and Twitch. The full show will likely run for around 40 minutes.

Horizon Forbidden West Pre-order

Pre-orders for Horizon Forbidden West are now live ahead of the title’s launch on Friday, 18 February 2022. Let’s take a closer look at the four pre-order options available to players …

  • Cross-gen Digital Deluxe Edition – Exclusively available on PlayStation Store
  • Special Edition – SteelBook with a physical disc copy for either PS4 or PS5, it also features the digital soundtrack (via voucher), as well as a mini art book
  • Collector’s Edition – Packed to the brim with special goodies, this one is a real must-have
  • Regalla Edition – A more menacing take on the Collector’s Edition  

For players that pre-order any physical edition from participating retailers (region specific*) or any digital edition anywhere, they will receive the Nora Legacy Outfit and Spear to use in-game. Players can redeem these items via the PlayStation Store.

Please note, if players start playing Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 then later wish to continue their progress on PS5,PS4 saved games will be transferable to PS5.

Players that wish to access both the PS4 & PS5 versions of the game can purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition, Collector’s, or Regalla Editions. Dual entitlement does not apply to the standard and Special Editions.
