Every year, International Women’s Day recognises the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world, and PlayStation is proud to join in this annual celebration.

To mark the occasion, PlayStation has teamed up with phenomenally talented artist Maja-Lisa Kehlet Hansen from the team at Media Molecule (LittleBigPlanet, Dreams) to create a beautiful PS4 theme featuring some of PlayStation’s most iconic female characters. The artwork has been transformed into a PS4 console theme and will be available to download today from PlayStation Store for free.

PlayStation has also been visiting some of its biggest game studios to talk to the incredible women who play integral roles in crafting the games players love. Click here to watch the video and hear what video games mean to them and why they are so passionate about their work.
