PlayStation State of Play – June broadcast has wrapped with some huge announcements, including the reveal of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, unveiling of 007 First Light and a first look at Sony Interactive Entertainment’s first wireless fight stick controller. See below for a round-up of the biggest announcements:
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches 2026 on PS5, Steam and Epic
PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works (Arc), and Marvel Games have joined forces to realise the latest in tag team fighters, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls!
Experience the Marvel Universe like never before with reimagined characters and stages, a heart-pounding soundtrack, intuitive gameplay mechanics, and jaw-dropping visuals that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Ghost of Yōtei gameplay deep dive coming July 2025
Sucker Punch has revealed a special State of Play episode dedicated to Ghost of Yōtei coming in July 2025. You’ll get an extended look at new and evolved gameplay mechanics, including exploration, combat, and much more.
Ghost of Yōtei releases Thursday, 2 October on PS5.

Astro Bot: five new Vicious Void Galaxy levels, Special Bots launch this July
Team ASOBI announced more additional content landing in Astro Bot this July 10 at 11pm AEST. 5* brand new levels will make their way into the game as part of the Vicious Void Galaxy, bringing the total number of levels in Astro Bot to a whopping 90+! The 5 levels available will be:Twin-Frog Trouble, Suck It Up, Handhold Havoc, High Inflation and… well. You’ll have to play and see.
An updated Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller is also coming later this year.

Introducing Project Defiant, the first wireless fight stick designed by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PS5 and PC
Sony Interactive Entertainment is excited to unveil its first wireless fight stick, codenamed Project Defiant. This sleek new controller will give players more flexibility to play their favourite fighting games, whether that is wirelessly with the innovative PlayStation Link technology that provides ultra-low latency, or through a wired connection on PS5 or PC.

Unveiling 007 First Light, IO Interactive’s James Bond action-adventure game
During today’s State of Play, IO Interactive officially unveiled 007 First Light, an upcoming third-person action-adventure game centred on a standalone re-imagining of James Bond’s origin, coming out in 2026.
This is Bond as you’ve never seen him before — the youngest Bond fans have ever met. In 007 First Light, at only 26 years old, he isn’t the fully fledged 007 you know from the tux-and-martini days but a man with sharp instincts, sometimes reckless, who is still learning when to fight, when to bluff, and when to disappear into the shadows.

Lumines Arise bursts onto PlayStation 5 this Spring
Lumines Arise is a brand-new entry in the critically acclaimed series which began on the PlayStation Portable 20 years ago (available as Lumines Remastered on PS4).
Lumines Arise on PlayStation 5 with optional PS VR2 compatibility is more than just an ordinary puzzle game — the aim is to hit you right in the feels. You emerge from the darkness in the first stage (a glimpse of which you saw in today’s announcement trailer), and every stop on the over 30-stage journey evokes a different and complex emotional response. From lush jungles, oceans teeming with life, and snakes preparing to strike, to more electronic frontiers like the bustling streets of Tokyo and the endless expanse of outer space. All with visual flourishes to incite synesthesia.

Pragmata coming to PS5 2026, new gameplay revealed
Pragmata is an all-new science fiction adventure with its own unique twist of action and strategy. The trailer features the two main characters, as well as a glimpse of the sci-fi inspired visuals and the cold, dark stretch of the moon where the game takes place.
The two protagonists, Hugh and Diana, happen upon one another and must work together to defeat the lunar station AI and return to Earth.
Pragmata will release on PS5 in 2026.

Romeo is a Dead Man, launches on PS5 next year
Super bloody action, crazy twists and turns to blow players’ minds, and a whole mess of kinda-stereotypical gimmicks – all rolled into one wild ride. Our hero Romeo Stargazer is a man stuck between life and death. His own was saved mere seconds before the end by way of a time paradox that shattered the space-time continuum, which was created by a genius scientist screwing around. Now, Romeo is FBI Space-Time special agent “Dead Man”, and sporting a rad mask called Dead Gear, must hunt space-time’s most wanted fugitives through multiple universes!
Grasshopper Manufacture’s new title, Romeo is a Dead Man, is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5 in 2026.

Silent Hill f launches September 25, PS5 gameplay revealed
In this new game, coming to PS5 on September 25, you play as Shimizu Hinako, a high schooler from Ebisugaoka, who explores her hometown as it becomes engulfed in fog and shifts nightmarishly, solving puzzles and fighting for her life in the process.
As Hinako tries to survive the now fog-wreathed town, she will be faced with decisions that will shape her ultimate fate. Will she choose to embrace elegance and beauty? Or will her path lead her to madness and horror? Is she doomed to succumb to the insanity unfolding before her, or can she face her fears and find a way to escape?
The game launches Thursday, 25 September, and pre-orders are live on PlayStation Store from today.

Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles comes to PS5 and PS4 September 30, 2025
Originally released in 1997 for the PlayStation, Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the most beloved titles in the franchise, known for its rich story and deep, strategic gameplay. This classic strategy RPG is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 this September with the release of Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles!
The development team has included two different versions of the game so that you can enjoy the title in that way that best suits you. The enhanced version adds fully voiced dialogue, an optimised and updated UI, graphical improvements, and a number of other quality of life features. Digital Eclipse were excited to reveal in today’s State of Play that they are partnering with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to bring Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 later in 2025.
With multiple 90s and 2000s games from the early days of this groundbreaking fighting game series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will also provide a comprehensive, detailed look at the franchise’s history.
