Over two decades ago in March 2005, God of War came out on the PlayStation 2 – marking the beginning of Kratos’ incredible journey through ancient Greece and beyond. As we approach the final month of God of War’s 20th anniversary year in March 2026, we couldn’t let this milestone close without giving fans one last big surprise during today’s State of Play!
The team at Santa Monica is thrilled to confirm that the original God of War trilogy is being remade – and what better way to announce it than with the legendary TC Carson, who brought Kratos to life in the Greek saga! Watch the announcement teaser here.

Ghost of Yōtei Legends is coming on Wednesday, 11 March (AEDT)! Legends is an online co-op multiplayer mode where players team up with friends to challenge monstrous, supernatural versions of the Yōtei Six. It will arrive in patch 1.5 – free for all Ghost of Yōtei owners!**
Legends will launch with three mission types. In Survival, you can team up with up to three other players to take down waves of increasingly difficult enemies on one of four maps. In Story, you’ll team up with another player to tackle a series of 12 missions. After completing each set of three Story missions, you’ll unlock an Incursion, which is a large-scale four-player assault on a stronghold belonging to a member of the Yōtei Six.
Each Incursion will culminate in a boss fight versus a giant, supernatural version of the Spider, the Oni, the Kitsune, or the Snake. As for the other members of the Yōtei Six, in April the team will release a Raid putting your team to the ultimate test, where you can expect to take on the Dragon and Lord Saito himself.**
In Ghost of Yōtei Legends, you can play as one of four classes: Samurai, Archer, Mercenary, or Shinobi. While any class can use a katana and ranged weapon, they also each excel in a different one of Ghost of Yōtei’s weapon and combat systems, and can each earn their own unique armor cosmetics as you complete feats through gameplay.

Inside the gameplay systems of 4:Loop
Mike Booth, Chief Creative Officer at Bad Robot Games, and Game Director of 4:Loop has shared an inside look at the gameplay systems for 4:Loop on the PlayStation Blog.
4:Loop is a rogue-like co-op shooter where players and three friends try to save the world from a devastating alien invasion that turns 99.99% of humanity into glass. A massive Mothership suddenly appears above Earth, striking the planet with a powerful energy beam leaving humanity frozen in time. Play as one of the “lucky ones” who escaped being glassed and now must find a way to stop the invasion to save the world (no pressure).
4:Loop is a world that’s been carefully crafted and filled with surprises, bursting with exciting ways to play. Starting location, mission objectives, enemies, and how loot appears, are always unique – plus, the time of day and weather are also randomly generated, which really changes how the missions unfold.
The various enemies, creatures, plants, weapons, items, and mission objectives are also designed to interact with each other in dynamic ways that create emergent gameplay and endlessly replayable chaos. That means decisions really matter, and creativity and improvisation are key. No two runs are ever the same.

John Wick Announced for PS5
Today, Saber announced its next big project, a John Wick AAA game!
The team is working closely with Chad Stahelski (John Wick director and franchise visionary), Keanu Reeves, and Lionsgate to produce a highly anticipated, adrenaline-fueled experience that fits into the world of John Wick. This game takes place during a specific period within the John Wick timeline and contributes to the expansive and rich lore of the franchise.
There are signature elements from the John Wick movies that are also present in the game, incorporated to enhance the overall interactive experience. Things like the unique use of camerawork, the notable bold and cinematic environments, and, of course, the extremely distinctive gun-fu action and intense driving experiences.
Saber is creating new, high-stakes, fully interactive mechanics that make players feel like they are in a John Wick movie by playing the role of Baba Yaga himself. It’s creating rich, neo-noir environments that will also contribute in a major way to creating a thrilling experience.
