Players can take part in Indika’s spiritual journey on-the-go next month

In spring 2024, 11 bit studios and developer Odd Meter launched what would become a widely discussed title about a simple nun and her bizarre spiritual journey to uncover her true purpose. Recently, INDIKA received the prestigious ‘Game Designer’s Award’ at the Japan Game Awards, and now the highly acclaimed adventure will be launching on Nintendo Switch on November 17th.

The adventure follows the titular Indika, a young nun embarking on a life-changing voyage across a surreal version of early 19th-century Russia. Joined by an unlikely companion and frequently tested by the Devil himself, she must face many obstacles, both external and internal, on her mission to find the truth. With gameplay offering a creative mixture of third-person action adventure, puzzles, platforming, minigames, and more, the true essence of INDIKA lies in its cinematic storytelling, combining an eccentric setting, unique atmosphere, and an unconventional narrative that explores deep, thought-provoking themes like mental health, religious ideals, and self-discovery. Presented with a style akin to classic A24 films and a strong dose of the bizarre, INDIKA is an unorthodox adventure that needs to be played to be fully understood, and is sure to leave a lasting impression.
