Summary: The Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3200 are indeed 'fit' with comfort and excellent audio!

4.6

FIT!

Having recently reviewed the BackBeat Fit 3150 (review link), I had the chance to check out Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3200 that are considered the next model up. As the packaging states, they are true wireless earbuds which use Bluetooth 5.0 to ensure a strong connection with no dropouts or interference and after using the Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3200 for almost a month, I can concur that this is the case. It also has an IP-57 rating that makes 3200’s sweat resistant and to some extent water proof if you’re working out in the rain.

Compared to the BackBeat Fit 3150, the audio quality is a little better but more importantly, they boast in-ear noise isolating silicone tips. This means that they help in “dulling” background noise and allows you to concentrate on your workouts more thanks to the smooth audio experience.

The earbuds boast 8 hours of charge with the ability of two additional charges thanks to its case which gives you an additional 16 hours. Charging is also done through the USB port and it even has a quick charge option of an additional 1.5 hours of charge in just 15 minutes. However the only thing missing is USB-C charging and 2020 is the year of USB-C!

Furthermore, they are a well-made product and the ear loops really allows you some great flexibility in terms of your workouts, whether doing burpees, running or even rock climbing… in other words, these will definitely stay in your ear and they are very comfortable.

Thanks to the its drivers with a frequency range of 20Hz – 20,000Hz, the Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3200 produced exceptionally clear audio with good mids and highs. It is definitely an immersive experience, particularly with its element of noise-cancellation and decent bass, no matter what music genre you are listening to.

You also have access to an app which allows you to tweak these earbuds, including audio presets. This apps also allows you to swap which is your primary earbud, including controls such as one tap to play/pause or two to skip plus volume controls. Furthermore, you can answer calls and even access your virtual assistants as well. The call quality for both parties was good and even outside, the other person could hear us well.

Final Thoughts?

If you’re looking for a more immersive audio experience, the Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3200 is the model to go for and it’s great that Plantronics are making their products more smart friendly with elements such as access to the Google assistant and ability to tweak the audio quality. Controls are good, however will need a little tweaking but compared to its similar priced competitors, Plantronics definitely have an advantage when it comes to audio quality, battery life, ease of setup/use and overall usage.

Recommended!
