Summary: Apes saving people and using rocket launchers. Maybe wait for the trade paperback if you are only just coming to this series.

You maniac! You blew it up!

The UN mission carrying the apes from the African research centre to the CDC in the USA is attacked by an anti-ape alliance and the humans are forced to get the apes to defend them as there is no longer enough humans left. Elsewhere the smartest gorilla in the world reveals his plan is not to hurt humans but to rescue apes.

This story sure manages to fit a lot of plot in such a short amount of pages and there is more than enough ape on human violence to please anyone who is a fan of the movie or just seeing apes in control.

If you have been following this series then it is worth still seeing to the conclusion. Those coming in new maybe wait until the trade paperback is out and read it all at once.

A worthy addition to this series and the Planet of the Apes stories in general.
