Oz Comic-Con bounces back to showcase the best local content in new Homegrown shows – First stop Sydney

Just like the Bat-Signal over Gotham CIty, the team behind Oz Comic-Con have emerged as a beacon of hope for the pop culture community with events scheduled to take place in 2021 in the wake of lockdowns.

Kicking off in Sydney, Oz Comic-Con Homegrown is set to take place on December 4th and 5th at Sydney Showground. It will be the first in-person expo back at the Showgrounds since the lockdown. Serving fans across all fandoms for close to a decade, Oz Comic-Con has built solid foundations within the local community by delivering the latest and greatest that pop culture has to offer.

Whether you’re a muggle, an Earper, a Jedi or a warlock, there will be something for you at the new Homegrown event to enjoy with your fellow fandom tribe. Oz Comic-Con Homegrown will feature all of the exciting elements that have made the event so
successful in the past but with a focus on content from NSW including guests, exhibitors and activations.

With a showfloor and schedule currently in the final stages of fine tuning, attendees can expect a full weekend bursting with flavour including industry talks and panels, freeplay gaming opportunities, workshops, exclusive merchandise and an ongoing list that would be physically impossible to summarise in one paragraph.

Oz Comic-Con is also excited to announce their partnership with the Australian Esports League (AEL) for their gaming zone, which will offer various opportunities for keen gamers to battle it out against their friends and members of the community.

This will join staple event pillars including Cosplay Central and Artist Alley,Tabletop Gaming and more, alongside a lineup of guests from film and television who will be engaging in a range of photo and autograph sessions throughout the weekend.
