The OPPO Find X9 continues OPPO’s tradition of delivering premium smartphones that focus on everyday usability, strong performance, and a refined user experience. Positioned as a high-end device, the Find X9 aims to balance power, display quality, camera capability, and fast charging, while integrating smoothly into OPPO’s wider ecosystem.
After using the OPPO Find X9 as my primary phone for around two weeks, it became clear that this device is designed to be intuitive and enjoyable to use on a daily basis. While it took some time to adjust to an operating system different from what I’m personally used to, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive.
Unboxing & First Impressions
Unboxing the OPPO Find X9 was a genuinely pleasant experience. The packaging is well presented, easy to open, and everything inside is neatly laid out. Setup was straightforward, with clear, easy‑to‑follow on‑screen instructions.
One standout aspect of the setup process was how simple it was to transfer data from a non‑Android device. The transfer process was fast, smooth, and hassle‑free, making the transition to the Find X9 far easier than expected.
In hand, the phone immediately feels premium. It is lightweight for its size and has a soft, smooth finish that feels comfortable to hold. The balance between weight and size makes it easy to use for extended periods without discomfort.
Design & Display
The OPPO Find X9 features a sleek, modern design that looks and feels premium. With a thickness of around 7.99mm and a weight of approximately 203g, it manages to feel solid without being cumbersome. The curved edges and smooth finish make it very comfortable to hold, even during long usage sessions.
The 6.59‑inch AMOLED display is one of the phone’s strongest features. The screen stretches close to the edges, giving it a very immersive feel. Colours are vibrant, blacks are deep, and overall sharpness is excellent thanks to the FHD+ resolution and high pixel density.
Brightness is impressive, with excellent visibility outdoors even in bright conditions. The 120Hz refresh rate and fast touch response make everyday interactions feel smooth and responsive, whether scrolling, typing, or gaming.
Performance & Everyday Use
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the OPPO Find X9 delivers excellent performance in daily use. Opening apps, switching between tasks, and running multiple applications at once felt effortless, with no noticeable lag or stutter.
Multitasking is handled particularly well. Having several apps and screens open at once did not slow the phone down, and performance remained consistently smooth throughout the testing period.
Gaming performance is also impressive. Games run smoothly with excellent graphics, fast response times, and loud, clear audio. Heat management was well controlled, with the phone remaining comfortable to hold even during longer gaming sessions.
Camera Performance – Rear Cameras
The OPPO Find X9 features a versatile camera system led by 50MP wide, ultra‑wide, and telephoto lenses. In everyday use, the camera system performed very well.
Daylight photos are sharp, detailed, and vibrant, with fast and accurate autofocus. Colours look natural while still having enough punch to make photos stand out. Zoom performance is strong, with high‑quality results that remain usable even at higher zoom levels.
Low‑light and night photography performed reliably, producing images with good detail and controlled noise. Portrait mode delivers pleasing background blur and good subject separation, making it ideal for people shots.
Motion shots were handled well, with minimal blur, and the camera proved reliable for capturing quick moments.
Video Recording
Video performance on the Find X9 is another strong area. The phone supports up to 4K recording at high frame rates, and footage looks sharp and smooth. Stabilisation works effectively, keeping videos steady even when moving.
Audio recording during video capture is clear, and features such as HDR video and dual‑view recording add versatility for users who enjoy creating content.
Front Camera
The 32MP front‑facing camera delivers good results for selfies and video calls. Skin tones appear natural, and detail is well preserved. Selfie video quality is also solid, making it suitable for video calls and social media use.

Battery & Charging
Battery life on the OPPO Find X9 is excellent, thanks to its large 7025mAh battery. On a heavy‑use day involving browsing, streaming, messaging, and gaming, the phone comfortably lasted a full day.
Charging is a standout feature. With support for 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and 50W wireless charging, topping up the battery is quick and convenient. Despite the fast charging speeds, there were no noticeable heating issues during charging.
Audio & Call Quality
The stereo speakers on the Find X9 are loud and clear, making them great for watching videos or listening to music without headphones. Sound quality is crisp with minimal distortion, even at higher volumes.
Call quality is reliable, with voices coming through clearly. Bluetooth audio performance is also excellent, with stable connections to cars and OPPO wireless earbuds.
Connectivity & Software
Connectivity performance was excellent throughout testing. Wi‑Fi and mobile data connections were strong, with fast and reliable 5G performance. Hotspot functionality worked smoothly without dropouts.
The phone runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16. While this operating system was different from what I’m personally used to, it proved to be very functional and user‑friendly. After a short adjustment period, navigation felt intuitive, and the software offered plenty of useful features and customisation options without feeling cluttered.
