Commenting on the launch, OPPO Australia’s Managing Director, Michael Tran, said: “Our research shows that nearly a quarter of Australians (24%) plan to spend under $500 on their next smartphone. As our first A Series release of 2025, the OPPO A5 Pro 5G is a game-changer in this space, raising the bar for affordable smartphones with premium durability, performance, and design.”

The A5 Pro 5G doesn’t just look good, it’s tough. With IP69 water and dust resistance, it can handle everything from rainstorms to dusty roads. And with Military-Grade Shock Resistance, it’s built for drops, scrapes, and bumps. Plus, it features OPPO’s Splash Touch, so you won’t need to worry about greasy or wet hands, just swipe away!
Despite the rugged durability, the A5 Pro 5G is super sleek and available in two stylish colours, Mocha Brown and Olive Green. Measuring just 7.76mm in thickness and weighing only 194g, the Mocha Brown boasts an exceptionally sleek profile, while the Olive Green edition is just a fraction thicker and heavier at 7.86mm and 196g respectively. Light in hand but heavy on features.

Under the hood, the A5 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device also features OPPO’s latest AI LinkBoost 2.0 technology, ensuring seamless network performance for flagship-level streaming, calling, and gaming.
For those who work outside, the A5 Pro 5G also introduces an Outdoor Mode that optimises network settings to speed up network access, allocates more network and CPU resources to work apps, and extends screen timeout to aid use while on the go.
