Unconditional Love
Written by former AFL Player (Richmond, Essendon) Bachar Houli with art by Debby Rahmalia, he delivers a beautiful children’s book about how much his daughter loves his ‘Baba’, her dad and equally the love he has for her and his family.
The story is from the perspective of his older daughter Sarah as we get a snapshot into the life of the Houli family from going to the movies, praying before sleep and visiting the outback. What drew us into this book is that Bachar gives us a sneak peak into his private life, including his religion which is far from the norm of children’s book.
Additionally, it is a well written book with spectacular illustrations by Debby Rahmalia who brings these lovely moments to life. The book ends with a heartfelt message from his daughter “I love you Baba. You’re the BEST Baba, ever! Sarah xx”.
