MSI ANZ Breaking News: Get Ahead of the Curve with Brand-New MSI HX Gaming Laptops

MSI has announced its latest Intel HX series laptops (with 12th Gen Intel HX series processors at its latest MSIology launch event which ran with the tagline, ‘Ahead of the curve.’

Of particular note was the announcement of a new, beefy Titan GT77 laptop – a range that, in the past, has sported two discreet, Nvidia GPUs running in SLI. MSI says the design is, “Inspired by the sports cars, which comes out with the upper lattice air exchanger to increase the cooling efficiency and the added fascinating projective Mystic Light bar.” [sic]

Derek Chen, MSI Notebook Worldwide Sales & Marketing Director, said, “We shape a premium experience for users! [and] MSI is ahead of the curve!”

The new Titan wields a 12th gen i9 HX CPU (which utilises 16 cores), Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics and MSI’s OverBoost overclocking technology. MSI states it can simultaneously deliver a full, 250W of power to both the CPU and GPU at full load.

Other new features include new cooling technology with 4 fans and 7 heat pipes and there’s also a new Steelseries keyboard with Cherry MX mechanical switches. The device remains svelte being 23mm thick.

Arguably more impressive than the new Titan is the new Raider GE67HX which, as MSI puts it,  “Becomes the first laptop in the world that brings a revolutionary high refresh rate OLED display, which is 240Hz with less than 0.2 ms response time. It also supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.” It’s also certified with DisplayHDR 600 True Black so should offer brilliant HDR performance. Count us, interested.

New MSI Creator workstations

Also revealed were new workstations. The MSI Workstation series was rebranded to the new CreatorPro series and a new CreatorPro X17 was revealed, Sporting an Nvidia RTX A5500 laptop GPU. The Creator-designated laptop is certified by over 90 per cent of ISVs and comes with a digital certificate for the screen which shows it’s been verified by Calman

Titan GT Series, Titanic Power, King of the Laptop
