Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland Review @MelbournesChristmasWonderland @kiis1011

The family friendly spectacular has returned with Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland, an interactive journey into… well Christmas!

This festive celebration is currently playing at the Burnley Oval in Richmond from 25 November until 24 December 2022 that is as close as we will get to entering Santa’s Workshop in the North Pole.

With tickets from $35.63 or a family ticket from $111.96, this gives guests of Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland, two hours of pure Christmas indulgence that includes snow, elves, reindeers and even a live show based on the Dr Suess’ The Grinch who celebrates his 65th birthday this year. You’ll also bump into Mrs Claus and the chance to have a photo with the legendary Saint Nick himself, Santa Claus!

The main elements of Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland include;

  • A Magical Welcome
  • Snow Land
  • Santa Photos
  • Elf’s workshop
  • Mrs Claus’ Bakery
  • Rudolf’s Barnyard
  • Roving Characters
  • Mrs Claus Storytelling Corner
  • North Pole Post Office
  • Santa Land
  • Nickelodeon Rollin’
  • Christmas Stage Show – The Grinch plus
  • Food and Merchandise

Additionally, Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland is beautifully presented due to all the Christmas regalia from thousands upon thousands of LED lights and larger than life Christmas baubles. With elves walking around and even Spongebob Squarepants to feeding an animatronic Rudolf plus areas for kids to play such as the toboggan slide and a giant snow pit, there’s definitely lots to see and do in the 2-hours it gives guests to explore and enjoy!

You also need to make sure you take your camera because you never know who’ll you bump into at this Christmas Wonderland. Add in Christmas themed colouring areas and a place called Candy Lane that with the help of the elves, you can make your own edible Rudolf the Reindeer snack, these are just some of the things littered through the big top. Further, the Christmas Stage Show – The Grinch runs two performances so if you missed out on the first one, you can catch the second show where the elves help the Grinch find his Christmas heart again.

Final Thoughts?

Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland is again perfectly timed for Christmas and if you’re looking for a visual and interactive festive experience, then the giant big top at Burnley Oval is your personal ticket to Christmas itself. All in all, a fun experience for the entire family!
