Melbourne International Comedy Festival / Support For Performers and Support Crew

We are reaching out as Australia’s entire entertainment industry is facing significant challenges with the livelihoods of huge numbers of technical, box office, front of house, production and associated support staff, as well as artists, impacted enormously by the extraordinary circumstances leading to cancellations in support of the community’s efforts to slow the spread of coronoavirus (COVID-19).

Many patrons have made the decision to donate the value of their purchased tickets to the artist concerned rather than receive a refund. Some ticket holders have the option of donating all, or part of their purchase directly to the artist as well as making a direct donation to support cancelled Festival performances.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival has implemented a donation process to allow ticketholders to contribute directly to artists, please see here: https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/support/2020-festival-artists

Additionally, the Festival has set up a fund to accept tax-deductible donations to assist performers and support crew: https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/donate/2020-festival-fund
