Marathon releases Friday, 6 March (AEDT) on PlayStation 5, Steam and Xbox Series X|S
Bungie announced today that players will begin unravelling the mysteries of Tau Ceti IV when Marathon launches on Friday, 6 March* (AEDT). In Marathon, players scavenge the lost colony of Tau Ceti IV as a bio-cybernetic Runner while surviving against hostile security forces, rival Runners, and inhospitable environments to seek their fortune. A gameplay trailer was also released, showing the many dangers players will face on the surface of the planet.

Marathon will also have fully localised dialogue for all supported languages, with those voice casts to be introduced at a later date. The voice cast will also grow as the world continues to evolve.
Marathon pre-orders and Collector’s Edition available now
Marathon releases Friday, 6 March (AEDT) 2026 and is available in Standard and Deluxe editions for PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S with full cross-play and cross-save**.

Marathon Limited Edition DualSense controller
Today, a Marathon-inspired limited-edition DualSense controller was also revealed.
The DualSense wireless controller – Marathon Limited Edition is wrapped in bold graphics and fractured shapes inspired by Marathon’s futuristic world.
The controller will be available in limited quantities at participating retailers for $134.95 AUD.*** Pre-orders will begin on Thursday, 29 January, 2026 at 10am local time and launches Friday, 6 March (AEDT) 2026.
