Starring Simon Pegg (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Hot Fuzz) and Lake Bell (No Strings Attached, What Happens in Vegas) Man Up is a uniquely modern, heart-warming and hilarious tale of an awkward single woman determined to add spontaneity to her drab love life. Featuring a stellar supporting cast including Ophelia Lovibond (Guardians of the Galaxy, No Strings Attached) and Rory Kinnear (Spectre, Skyfall).
Nancy (Bell) is done with dating. 10 times bitten, 100 times shy, she’s exhausted by the whole dating circus. However everything changes when she’s rushing around London’s Waterloo Station and is suddenly approached by a random man called Jack (Pegg) who has mistaken her for his blind date. Jack’s nervously uncontrollable small talk takes over the situation making it impossible for Nancy to explain the misunderstanding, and no one is more surprised than her when she does the unthinkable and just goes along with his confusion.
It’s going to take a night of pretending to be someone else for Nancy to finally man up and show Jack her painfully honest, awesomely unconventional self in hopes that he will fall in love with the person she really is and not run a million miles away from her in fear. Will one crazy, unpredictable and complicated night bring these two messy souls together?
