LG ELECTRONICS BEGINS ROLLOUT OF 2023 SOUND BAR LINEUP

LG Electronics (LG) has announced the rollout of the 2023 LG Sound Bar lineup, including the brand-new SC9, SE6 and S77 models. An ideal match for the 2023 LG TV lineup, both in looks and functionality, the new sound bars deliver outstanding consumer value with powerful audio, practical, convenient features, and stylish designs. Whether it is home cinema, music or gaming, the latest LG sound bars amplify the home entertainment experience.

The new LG sound bar models, spearheaded by the SC9, offer seamless integration with the company’s TVs, providing an effortless user experience and stronger, more authentic sound for an immersive entertainment experience. When paired, 2023 LG sound bars and LG TVs present innovative, new features such as WOW Orchestra*, which utilises all of the two products’ audio channels to create an expanded soundstage with improved height, depth, and power. The 2023 LG sound bars and LG TVs offer more synergy for a multi-surround sound solution, allowing listeners to enjoy Dolby Atmos® and IMAX® Enhanced powered by DTS:XTM.

The company’s premium home entertainment audio solutions also bring the intuitive WOW Interface** to the Home Dashboard on selected LG TVs, enabling users to easily manage the sound bar settings and share sound modes with the TV. Meanwhile, the addition of WOWCAST1 allows the 2023 sound bar models to connect wirelessly with selected LG TVs, providing cable-free convenience and a tidier look.

Along with an expanded feature set and greater ease-of-use, the new sound bars boast a sophisticated design that complements the minimalist look of the latest LG TVs, and fits in flawlessly with a wide variety of décors. A new bracket for SC9 enables users to place the sound bar directly below an LG OLED C2 or C3 TV2, creating a harmonious aesthetic that elevates the living space. The bracket, which attaches to the rear of a compatible LG TV2, can be used to wall-mount or stand-mount SC9 at a height or location that ensures the best sound experience for users. The convenient bracket helps to keep the viewing environment free from cable clutter and saves users the hassle of having to drill additional holes in the wall.

The 2023 sound bars deliver accurate sound reproduction and enhanced clarity for a more complete home cinema experience with LG Triple Sound Technology, which includes Triple Up-Firing Speakers. New for this year, Triple Level Spatial Sound Technology employs channel analysis performed by an HRTF-based 3D engine to add a virtual mid-layer. The result is an incredibly lifelike sound experience with a convincing sense of space that puts listeners at the centre of an immersive audio environment.

Users will be able to hear the difference made by LG Triple AI Sound Optimiser – a feature that intelligently boosts the new sound bars’ performance – and enjoy upgraded sound via the function, which converts any audio source, including two-channel audio, into stunning surround sound utilising every available audio channel. Tailoring audio output to the user’s space, LG AI Room Calibration analyses the environment of the room, then applies that information to the sound bars settings to improve overall balance, the clarity of vocal performances, movie dialogue, and the accuracy of the sound image.

What’s more, the new models incorporate the company’s AI Sound Pro feature. Delivering premium sound for any type of content, whether it is movies, sporting events, games or music, AI Sound Pro analyses audio signals and automatically applies the most appropriate settings.

Catering to the diverse home entertainment needs of today’s consumers, the new LG sound bars are compatible with a wide range of services, devices, and connectivity features. Users can enjoy lossless playback with impressive audio quality when listening to their favorite artists and tunes on music streaming services such as TIDAL Connect. For those seeking to take their console gaming experience to the next level, the latest LG sound bars also support VRR to reduce screen tearing, and ALLM to eliminate lag while also permitting 4K at up to 120Hz pass-through.

One of the new-for-2023 sound bars, the SE6, is an all-in-one sound bar for smaller spaces. Working well with several interior styles, the SE6 pairs a compact form factor with a sleek, modern and woofer-less design. Despite being the most diminutive of the LG sound bar lineup, the chic, new model offers high-definition home cinema sound. The combination of a 25-millimetre tweeter and four passive radiators helps provide impressive sound with powerful bass, while the inclusion of Triple Level Spatial Sound and Triple AI Sound Optimiser (Smart Up-mixer, AI Room Calibration and AI Sound Pro) further enhance the listening experience. The SE6 also supports Dolby Atmos® and DTS:XTM for three-dimensional audio that brings content to life. When combined with selected LG TVs, it presents the expanded sound of WOW Orchestra and the intuitive convenience of the WOW Interface. On top of that, the SE6 provides enhanced usability, being compatible with multiple AI services, such as Google Assistant™, Amazon Alexa™ and Apple AirPlay 2, and diverse music streaming platforms, including TIDAL and Spotify.

The S77 is the company’s new mid-range sound bar model with triple up-firing speakers featuring dynamic, 3.1.3-channel surround sound. The new model supports premium audio technologies including Dolby Atmos® and DTS:XTM, and provides exclusive LG features such as Triple Level Spatial Sound. It is also equipped with WOW Orchestra and WOW Interface for seamless compatibility with selected LG TVs, and supports features and capabilities enabled through HDMI connection (VRR, ALLM and 4K @ up to 120Hz), making it an excellent sound solution for gaming.
