LG Australia Launches Latest UltraGear™ OLED Gaming Monitors

LG Electronics Australia (LG) has announced the upcoming local availability of the company’s fastest gaming monitors yet, the UltraGear™ OLED line-up, to be soon available in a 45-inch (45GR95QE) curved and 27-inch (27GR95QE) flat form factor.

To support the imminent arrival of the company’s latest UltraGear models, LG Australia is inviting consumers to register their interest to receive an exclusive pre-order offer.2

The OLED gaming monitors feature an ultra-fast 240Hz refresh rate,1  leveraging ten years of global leadership in LG OLED display technology. The result creates a clear, fast and exciting gaming experience for Australia’s growing community of casual and serious gamers.

LG strives to respond to the demand for premium gaming technology, and the latest models are no exception as it caters to the booming Australian gaming industry, which generated $284.4 million in sales over the past 12 months.3

“As the gaming industry in Australia continues to evolve, so does the need for innovative technology that supports next-generation gaming experiences. Backed by a decade of OLED technology leadership, the expanded range of LG UltraGear gaming monitors are designed to put gamers in the centre of the action,” said Brad Reed, Head of B2B Marketing (Business Solutions) at LG Electronics Australia.

“With our first OLED gaming monitors, LG continues to deliver innovative products that support and enhance the user experience. The feature rich monitors ensure gamers of all levels will have the ultimate and immersive experience from their favourite games.”

Immersive gameplay that looks and feels real

Delivering next level immersion for avid gamers, the latest 45-inch LG UltraGear™ model (45GR95QE) is the company’s first curved OLED gaming monitor.

Providing 800R screen curvature that goes beyond comparable 1000R curved monitors available on the Australian market, the 45-inch model extends the field of view, putting users at the centre of the action. The curvature and OLED panel supports gamers to better identify opponents and threats during gameplay while creating a more immersive, exciting experience for both casual and serious gamers.

Achieving a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio and providing 98.5 per cent of coverage across the DCI-P3 colour gamut4, both the 27-inch and 45-inch models produce impressive life-like visuals. Similarly, by supporting the latest HDR10 format which uses 1,000 nits of brightness and 10-bit colour depth to produce approximately 1,024 shades of primary colours, the latest monitors deliver deeper blacks, brighter whites and rich colours to breathe life into game visuals just as the creators intended.

Matte Anti-glare and Low Reflection (AGLR) panels on both models enable users to limit distractions and enjoy uninterrupted gameplay regardless of ambient light conditions, for a sense of deep immersion into the world of the game.

For an enhanced sound experience, the 4-pole headphone jack for a compatible DTS Headphone:X,  allows users to simultaneously interact with fellow gamers via voice chat while deeply immersing themselves in the world of the game through virtual 3D sound.

Speed with a competitive edge

Sporting the company’s first OLED panel capable of supporting a Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) of 240Hz, the new 27-inch and 45-inch monitors are designed to give gamers a competitive advantage.

Combined with a rapid response time of less than 0.03ms Gray-to-Gray (GTG), the latest monitors keep up with fast-paced action by reducing ghosting and enabling objects to render clearly, allowing players to see and respond to opponents in next frame swiftly and aim at targets easily.

Harnessing the power of self-lit OLED pixel technology, both new models produce sharp, crisp visuals without light bleed to support player accuracy during maximum speed gameplay. Additionally, each model provides DisplayPort connectivity compatible with HDMI 2.1 to enable gaming in the highest resolution possible.

Comfort and convenience

To complement the needs of both casual and serious gamers, the new LG UltraGear™ range integrates clever design features optimised for a more comfortable, enjoyable gaming experience.

Both the 27-inch and 45-inch models come with an adjustable base which can be repositioned to suit a variety of users and gaming set ups. This provides gamers with the freedom to swivel, tilt, pivot and adjust the height of their display for maximum comfort.

Returning to the new models in 2023 is the UltraGear Remote Control, which can be used to turn the monitor on or off, adjust sound, change modes and alter settings.

Delivering the ultimate gaming experience, the 45-inch curved monitor (45GR95QE) gives users the freedom to mix and match their preferred gaming display. Supporting up to two PBP (Picture by Picture) and PIP (Picture in Picture) window settings, the 45-inch model combines dual inputs to stack multiple windows vertically or side-by-side, providing gamers with the option to operate multiple games and tasks at the same time.

The LG UltraGear 45-inch curved (45GR95QE) and 27-inch (27GR95QE) OLED gaming monitors are available for pre-sales in March and in store early April at leading retailers and online LG.com/au. Customers interested in pre-registering interest to receive an exclusive pre-order offer from LG can do so via LG.com/au before 19 March 2023.
