Join us at Game Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) 2025

IGEA is excited to announce that the schedule for GCAP 2025 is now available, and tickets are on sale. With a renewed focus on fostering business-to-business connections, growing peer networks, providing space for community building, and delivering in-depth talks across various game development disciplines, GCAP 2025 will be the definitive games conference to attend in our region.

Come and hear keynote presentations from:

Jordan Mochi

Jordan Mochi is a self-taught solo indie developer who developed WW1-themed survival horror game CONSCRIPT over seven years with no prior game development experience. Published by Team17, CONSCRIPT was released on July 23, 2024, and would go on to win 3 Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs), including Australian Game of the Year 2024. CONSCRIPT was also nominated for best indie at the Golden Joystick Awards and was named the 5th best indie game of 2024 by Forbes.

Jenny Windom

Jenny Windom (she/her) specialises in marketing, community, production, and content creation in the games industry. Currently, she is the Communications Director for Ivy Road; leads production and marketing at Soft Not Weak; and is one of four organisers – and the main host – for Wholesome Games.

With a background as an educator, she’s especially passionate about the ways games can help people reflect on their own stories and meaningfully engage with the world around them. Her game club – Geeks & Grounds – is the hub where she strives to curate and highlight games while modelling thoughtful play and reflection. You can also find her as a co-host on The Indie Council, discussing the latest news and releases in the indie space.

Lis Moberly

Lis Moberly is the Creative Lead of 20th Century Games at The Walt Disney Company. She has worked with companies such as Obsidian Entertainment, WB Avalanche, and Chuhai Labs as a game writer and narrative designer. Her works can be found in Avowed, Cursed to Golf, Hogwarts Legacy, and We Went Back, among others. In addition to her games work, Lis is a former academic and professor who continues to study critical issues facing game development, including game dev burnout, feedback culture, and institutional memory.

Josh Sawyer

Josh Sawyer started in the game industry in 1999 at Black Isle Studios, where he worked on the Icewind Dale games. Since 2005, he has been at Obsidian Entertainment, where he has directed Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, and the 2022 narrative adventure game, Pentiment. He is currently Obsidian’s Studio Design Director.

We are delighted to share the GCAP schedule, which can be accessed here. Last year’s attendees told us they loved our roundtables, so we’ve brought them back.  Plus, we are adding more bespoke networking opportunities.

Tickets can be purchased via our event platform here. This year, we have reintroduced one-day ticketing options and optional AGDA’s add-ons, allowing you to tailor your Melbourne International Games Week schedule to your needs. We are providing a new networking platform for all ticket holders to connect, build meetings and plan out your talk schedule.

IGEA is happy to advise that the Victorian Government, through Creative Victoria, is providing 50 free GCAP Assist tickets to facilitate GCAP access for under-represented and/or marginalised communities from across the Australian games industry. GCAP Assist will also be open to those who may have been affected by industry layoffs in the past year. The application form can be found here.

We have also opened applications for GCAP 2025 volunteers! If you’re interested in being part of the GCAP team and helping, please check out all the details here.

We couldn’t bring you GCAP without the generous support of our sponsors and partners, and we sincerely thank:
