JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 has an epic weekend at Oz box office
JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 has enjoyed an epic opening weekend at the Australian Box Office, taking $6,424,686, Including previews. The cumulative gross is now $6,989,679.
Its weekend gross is the second highest opening weekend gross of this year, just behind ANT-MAN QUANTUMANIA’s $6.47m opening weekend, and well ahead of 3rd placed CREED 3 (which opened to $3.35m)
Incredibly, JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4’s opening weekend result has beaten both JOHN WICK CHAPTER 1’s lifetime gross of $3.2m, and also JOHN WICK CHAPTER 2’s lifetime gross of $4.24m. The result is 58% of the Market GBO for the weekend.
The Australian opening weekend for JW 4 is ahead of the opening weekends for comparable titles, including: MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: – FALLOUT and BAD BOYS FOR LIFE.
