John Barrowman and Melanie Scrofano Head to Australian Shores as Oz Comic-Con Begins Guest and Content Announcements for June!
Fans of all things from the wide world of pop culture can revel in the glory of Oz Comic-Con this June as sights are set on Adelaide and Melbourne. With a showfloor bursting with opportunity and a growing guest list that is bound to turn heads, there is something for everyone all under one roof.
Unveiling Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Letterkenny) for both cities, alongside John Barrowman (Doctor Who, Torchwood, Arrowverse) as a Melbourne exclusive, the first two announcements are just a teaser for what is yet to come. Also gracing the lineup is a finely curated selection of local authors, illustrators and cosplayers, who will be on deck for the full weekend meeting fans and offering advice to eager and curious minds.
Speaking of cosplay, there is an opportunity to enter one of the most prestigious cosplay contests in Australia, the Australian Championships of Cosplay, which highlights the immense talent and craftsmanship from every stretch of the country. Entrants will be given a chance to join Oz Comic-Con’s Hall of Fame, which currently includes previous champions such as TC Cosplays, and Giorgia Costumes.
Featuring all of the cornerstones that make up the very foundations of Oz Comic-Con, attendees will be treated to a show floor and schedule that includes Artist Alley, Gaming Zones and various stages for panels, workshops and community engagement.
With so much yet to be announced, attendees can expect a full weekend bursting with flavour including industry talks and panels, free play gaming opportunities, workshops, and lashings of retail opportunities with exclusive pop culture merchandise that can’t be found anywhere else.
