Jennifer Hale Interview @SupanovaExpo @jhaletweets

Supanova is literally just around the corner from us and we catch-up with the totally awesome Jennifer Hale to talk acting, cons and more!

Welcome to Impulse Gamer Jennifer – so tell us how you became involved in voice acting?

I worked as a Production Assistant at a video studio next door to an audio studio and they asked me to come next door and do my rendition of a Valley Girl. They paid me $30 or $35 and I was hooked. I got the guys there to mentor me and I worked diligently to get better and build a Voice Acting business.

Out of all the characters you voiced who has been your favourite and why?

My favourite role is all of them. Seriously. The sheer variety of roles I’ve had the privilege to play is a joy.

If you could cosplay any of characters who would pick and why?

Great question, hard to pick. Maybe Bastila Shan or Riyo Chuchi, or maybe Ashe from Overwatch if I can get the rest of the cast to Cosplay with me.

Or… the cast of X-Men 97 with all of us in full regalia. :)

You walk into bar. Which character that you voiced would you like to have a drink with?

Probably Shepard. She knows how to have a good time and she’s hilarious when she tries to dance.

Your favourite line ever delivered?

Really hard to choose. Princess Morebucks had some choice words for Santa in the Powerpuff Girls Christmas Special. The Goblin Queen has some pretty great lines in the new X-Men 97 too. Then there’s also Thorn from the Hex Girls… so many options…

What are you most looking forward to at Supanova?

Being in Australia. I love Australia.

Lastly what does the rest of 2024 hold for you?

This is a pretty busy year, some great projects coming out and continuing to reach out and support my fellow voice artists through the site I’ve developed (acting.skillshub.life). This year is pretty packed and I’m enjoying it thoroughly.

Thanks to everyone out there for watching and playing!
