JBL Quantum Launches New Stream Microphones

Melbourne, Australia, 9th April 2024 – JBL, a trailblazer in audio technology, has announced a major expansion of its successful Quantum Stream line of microphones – the Quantum Stream Talk, Quantum Stream Studio and Quantum Stream Wireless. Continuing its legacy in offering premier sound quality for everyone, the latest additions to the series help ensure that content creators can tell their story regardless of their format preference.

Whether users are recording podcast episodes with guests, creating the latest viral hit song or just chatting with their fanbase online, there is a Quantum Stream series microphone made for their moment. All three products include condenser microphones, giving them a flat and wide frequency response as well as lighter weight construction than competitors.

“We understand how crucial the best equipment and audio quality is to the content creation process. For over three quarters of a century, JBL has delivered high-definition sound to listeners around the world, and the time is right to focus on the other side of the equation,” said Dave Rogers, President, HARMAN Lifestyle Division. “With the expansion of the Quantum Stream line of microphones, creators can tap into JBL’s signature sound, so their stories aren’t just told, but also heard.”

The Quantum Stream Talk serves as the introduction to the range, with built-in JBL QuantumENGINE PC software allowing users to adjust the microphone’s EQ to suit their exact surrounding area. A shock-absorbing base and a super cardioid pickup pattern ensure background noise-free recordings optimised for solo streaming.

For creators on the go, the Quantum Stream Wireless is versatile and wearable, with an omnidirectional pattern that picks up high quality sound from every direction. The lightweight, clip-on design delivers easy portability and environmental noise canceling ensures recordings are captured without interruption from surrounding sound sources.

As the flagship microphone of the line, the Quantum Stream Studio levels up any recording to professional quality with its specially designed three condenser microphones and 192 kHZ/24 bits broadcast quality sampling rate. Whether users are streaming games or recording by themselves, with a co-host, or with a roomful of guests, the microphone’s quad-pattern pickup design allows for the best sound capture in any scenario. Optimal sound capture is also supported by the mic’s universal mounting solution, which allows users to mount the mic to their preference. An RGB-lit volume meter lets users know how loud the action is becoming with a glance, and the Quantum Stream Studio’s dynamic range compressor stops loud noises that get distorted in recordings, calls or streams and it amplifies quiet sound for a more enjoyable recording.

The Quantum Stream Talk will cost $59.95, Quantum Stream Wireless will be offered in two models, USB C at $149.95 and LIGHTNING at $149.95 and the Quantum Stream Studio will cost $199.95. The microphones will be available on JBL.com.au in April 2024, featuring packaging crafted from FSC-certified paper and printed with soy ink.
