Unboxing & Gallery
The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro clearly draws inspiration from the Apple Watch Ultra, featuring a distinctive square-shaped display with a flat sapphire crystal screen that significantly enhances durability. The titanium alloy bezel adds a rugged yet refined touch, making it versatile enough for both casual wear and intense workouts. Navigating the watch is super intuitive, thanks to its responsive touch screen, rotating digital crown and single back button, though the colourful gold accent on the crown might not appeal to everyone’s aesthetic – it’s growing on me.
Unboxing
When it comes to comfort, the Fit 4 Pro is impressively lightweight at just 30.4g, especially considering its premium materials. Its 9.3mm slim profile ensures it sits flush against the wrist, avoiding the bulkiness that plagues some smartwatches. Whether you’re lifting weights, running, or simply wearing it throughout the day, the watch remains unobtrusive and secure, proving its all-day wearability. As you can see from the images in this review, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is an attractive smartwatch.
As the band is made from material, it prevents skin irritation and it allows for better sizing thanks to the Velcro adjustment. This also means that as it is made from material, it does not contain “forever chemicals” or PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) that can be absorbed through the skin which may potentially cause health problems and the more classic bands are also available.
Setup
Setting up the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is simple and straightforward that is a hallmark of this company. All you need to do is download the Huawei Health app which needs to be sideloaded on Android phones because of the 2019 US ban on Huawei that is done by scanning in the QR code displayed on the watch to your phone. This then downloads the app to your phone and once loaded, you need to add a new device and follow the pairing process. Once connected, the watch provides an on-screen tutorial, introducing its key features and navigation gestures. The entire setup is remarkably smooth, requiring minimal effort and making it accessible even for users who aren’t particularly tech-savvy. It took me just a few minutes on my Pixel 8a smartphone.

From a smartwatch perspective, Huawei has truly packed the Fit 4 Pro with a robust set of features, making it an excellent choice for fitness enthusiasts and smartwatch users alike. Its advanced TruSense system offers comprehensive health monitoring, including heart rate tracking, SpO2 blood oxygen readings and detailed sleep tracking. The addition of a temperature sensor and barometer further enhances its capabilities, providing insights into both body temperature fluctuations and environmental conditions which is a great way to monitor your health.
For sports and fitness, the Fit 4 Pro supports over 100 workout modes, with specialized tracking for activities like golf, diving, hiking, and running. Golfers will particularly appreciate access to over 1,350 Australian golf course maps and an impressive 15,000 international courses, while divers can benefit from insightful breath-holding metrics. The highly accurate Sunflower GPS system ensures precise route tracking, making it a reliable companion for any outdoor adventure. So as you can see, this new smartwatch from Huawei ticks all the right boxes to capture your physical activity.
The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro runs on Huawei’s refined smartwatch interface built on the HarmonyOS which feels both intuitive and highly responsive. While it doesn’t offer full AppGallery access, it still provides all the essential smartwatch functions, such as notifications, ample music storage (1.5GB) and seamless Bluetooth connectivity for wireless earbuds. Another impressive feature is the offline maps capability, allowing users to navigate confidently without needing to rely on a smartphone connection. It also allows you to receive notifications that is a super helpful feature, including informing you of callers and the ability to take a call or hangup. In terms of speaker quality, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is quite decent for its size that easily allows you to hear the other person on the end (and them you) plus you can listen to music as well which is transferred to the watch via the app.
Battery life is another strong point, with the watch offering up to 10 days of usage depending on your activity levels and the wireless magnetic charging ensures quick and hassle-free power-ups. However, the absence of official NFC mobile payment support may be a drawback for users who frequently rely on smartwatch payments for convenience. You can change watch faces which is super easy to change, monitor your mental health plus access other apps such as a calculator, torch and calendar to help you on the go.
Final Thoughts?
The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro stands out as a well-rounded smartwatch that truly excels in fitness tracking, comprehensive health monitoring and specialized sports features. Its premium design, lightweight build and intuitive interface make it a strong contender in the wearable market. While it clearly takes design cues from the Apple Watch Ultra, it distinguishes itself with exceptional battery life, convenient offline maps and advanced health tracking, all at a more accessible price point. The lack of official NFC payments and full app support might deter some users, but for those seeking a feature-packed and reliable fitness smartwatch, the Fit 4 Pro is undoubtedly a compelling choice.
