Huawei launches its latest innovations at IFA in Berlin

Live from the annual IFA conference in Berlin, Germany, Huawei has launched its latest product innovations, including the Kirin 990 4G + 5G chipset, Wi-Fi Q2 Pro and FreeBuds 3, along with two new colours for the P30 Pro flagship smartphone device.

The announcements were made by Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, during his opening keynote speech at IFA – the world’s leading trade show for consumer electronics.

See below for a summary of the key products set to come to Australia:

  • Kirin 990 chipset: The world’s first commercially available 5G SOC, and the fastest ever 5G processor. The ultra-fast Kirin chipset achieves the leading peak downlink rate of 2.3 Gbit/s and the uplink peak rate of 1.25 Gbit/s, delivering unmatched 5G experiences.
  • FreeBuds 3: Powered by a Kirin AI chip, the FreeBuds 3 is the world’s 1st open-fit active noise cancellation True Wireless Stereo earbuds. The Kirin A1 chip takes a technologically advanced approach to delivering superior sonics for FreeBuds 3, with a finely tuned high sensitivity driver to deliver spectacular music and voice reproduction.

From 6th – 11th September, IFA 2019 takes place at the 20,000-square-meter Messe Exhibition Grounds in Berlin under the theme ‘Rethink Evolution’. The event is the world’s leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, welcoming 1,800+ exhibitors, 240,000+ attendees and 8,000+ media.

The six-day event will not only host more innovation and product launches than any previous event, it will also present more digital lifestyle products in one place than any other show worldwide, from more than 100 countries.
