HONOR Unveils the HONOR X9d 5G in Australia with eXtra Durability

Global AI device ecosystem company HONOR today announced the launch of the eagerly awaited HONOR X9d 5G, the latest addition to its acclaimed X Series line-up. Setting a benchmark as the most powerful mid-range smartphone available in the market to date, the HONOR X9d seamlessly integrates industry-leading durability, a robust 8300mAh battery and stunning photography capabilities.

The HONOR X9d showcases all-around drop, IP69K water and dust resistance with industry first SGS Triple Resistant Premium Performance Certification^[1]. Like its predecessor, the device has also received the SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification^[2], demonstrating resistance to drops from heights of up to 2.5 metres^[3] on certain surfaces. Reinforced by HONOR Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology, non-Newtonian fluid and ultra-tough tempered glass, the HONOR X9d is built to withstand a wider range of impacts.

Reinforcing its durability, the HONOR X9d is supported by a Three-layer Water Resistance Structure and a IP69K Water Resistance rating^[4], meaning it can handle challenging conditions including splashes, rinsing, dirty water, up to 85 Celsius high-temperature water (within 10 seconds), and high-pressure water jets. AI Heavy Rain Touch and AI Glove Touch supports usability in wet conditions or when wearing gloves, maintaining reliable touchscreen responsiveness when it’s needed most.

The HONOR X9d provides exceptional experiences for photography enthusiasts, featuring a 108MP Ultra-sensing Camera with a large 1/1.67-inch sensor, it’s designed to capture detailed, bright images across a range of lighting conditions, from day to night. To further improve image quality, the main camera also combines OIS and EIS to help reduce blur and camera shake for clearer shots.

For sharing and editing, HONOR Connection supports the transfer of HD live photos between iOS devices, while the 4K HD Moving Photo Collage makes images more vibrant. Processing power is backed by HONOR’s RAM Turbo Technology, which delivers an effective 24GB RAM experience (12GB physical + 12GB virtual), keeping things running smoothly even after extended use. The HONOR X9d also offers up to 256GB of internal storage, providing ample space for photos, videos and everyday content.
