Harvey Norman Joins OPPO Australia’s Local Retailers

OPPO has today announced a national retail agreement with Harvey Norman, as the technology brand further expands its presence in Australia. The deal will see Harvey Norman stores stock OPPO devices nationwide, including its recently launched entry level devices, the OPPO A15 ($239) and A53 ($299).

Speaking to the partnership, Michael Tran, Managing Director at OPPO Australia, said the decision to range in Harvey Norman stores is due to the brand’s strong local growth and providing customers with more opportunities to get their hands on an OPPO device.

Telsyte’s research revealed that even amongst a pandemic-ridden 2020, OPPO increased its Android market share to 10 per cent in the second half of the year, up from 9 per cent in the same period in 2019, maintaining OPPO’s place as Australia’s third largest smartphone brand in sales since December 2017.

“It’s exciting to see OPPO continuing to expand here in Australia and we’re proud to be working with such an established local retailer like Harvey Norman. Everything we do is customer driven and our partnership with Harvey Norman will help us get into the hands of more Aussies nationwide, which is very important in building our brand.”

To mark the launch of the new retail partnership, OPPO will be offering a “Gift with purchase” promotion on all OPPO stock in Harvey Norman. Each OPPO device purchased will be bundled with OPPO Enco W11 True Wireless Earphones. The W11 boasts 8mm dynamic drivers with titanium-plated composite diaphragms, Bluetooth 5.0, and active noise cancellation.

The OPPO A15 and A53 will be available for purchase through Harvey Norman stores from today.
