Google: New learning features come to Gemini
Google is rolling out a new suite of learning tools in Gemini for everyone. The features are designed to foster critical thinking, deepen understanding and make studying more efficient. Please note, this isn’t available in Australia just yet.
Here’s a look at what’s new:
1. Build a deeper understanding with Guided Learning
To help you grasp complex topics, Gemini now offers Guided Learning mode. It helps you build a deep understanding instead of just getting quick answers by acting like your personal AI learning coach. Guided Learning mode breaks down problems step-by-step, and adapts explanations to your needs to help you uncover the “how” and “why” behind concepts. It’s perfect for tackling any tough subject or developing a new skill from the ground up.
2. Learn faster with integrated visuals
We’re making the learning experience in Gemini richer and more engaging by automatically integrating high-quality images, diagrams and YouTube videos directly into responses. When you ask about complex topics like the process of photosynthesis or the parts of a cell, Gemini will proactively weave in visuals to help you understand more easily.
3. Study smarter with helpful exam prep tools
Get ready for your next test with powerful new study tools. At I/O, we launched the ability to generate interactive quizzes on any subject to test your knowledge. Now, you can ask Gemini to instantly create flashcards and study guides based on your quiz results or other class materials, providing a simple and effective way to review key concepts and reinforce your learning.
