GOLDEN GLOBE-NOMINATED LION OPENS 2017 SEASON OF ST.GEORGE OPENAIR CINEMA

One of Sydney’s favourite events, St.George OpenAir Cinema, officially opened at Mrs. Macquaries Point on Saturday night. The opening night film was the Golden Globe-nominated LION with Saroo Brierley, whose true story inspired the film, on hand to introduce it to the sold out audience.

Set against the stunning backdrop spanning the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and city skyline, the iconic summer event treated guests to a fresh new menu from Events By Aria and Kirin Bar offering a range of beverages.

A spectacular start to the 2017 season, St.George OpenAir Cinema will continue through to 21 February and features an extraordinary line up of 22 premiere or preview screenings, along with a selection of the summer’s most anticipated releases and 2016’s box office hits.

A limited number of tickets will be available to purchase at the box office each evening during the season.
