God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla available on December 13

We’re thrilled to share that, as of November 19th, God of War Ragnarök has sold through more than 15 million units worldwide across PS4 and PS5! To show their appreciation for the incredible support and love you’ve given the game since its release last year, Santa Monica Studio has been working on a surprise for the God of War community.

As fans of their fans, they are thrilled to announce that on December 13*, they’ll be releasing a free DLC as a gift to players – God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla!

Please note, you must own God of War Ragnarök to be able to download God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla for free on December 12 via the PlayStation Store! *

Key Details:

  • God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla will be an epilogue to the events of God of War Ragnarök that follows Kratos on a deeply personal and reflective journey.

  • Santa Monica Studio challenged themselves to make something different from anything they’ve done before in God of War history.

  • God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla celebrates the combat you know and love from God of War Ragnarök and blends it with fresh, experimental elements inspired by the roguelite genre.

  • During each attempt, you will learn and adapt to the challenges Valhalla has to offer. The more you overcome, the more resources you’ll gain that can be put towards permanent upgrades that affect both Kratos and even Valhalla itself.
