Full ESL Arena schedule announced for PAX Aus 2015

Rocket League, SMITE, and Halo 5 tournaments confirmed

15 October, 2015 – Just when you thought PAX Australia couldn’t pack in any more gaming excitement… Halo 5 and Rocket League have smashed into the debut PAX Aus ESL Arena, and will be delivering some serious eSport and shooter action all weekend at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Halo 5 arrives only days after its October 27 global launch, and will be joined by Rocket League and the already announced SMITE in the massive, purpose built arena on the PAX Aus show floor.

For fans of eSport, there’s no better place to be this October 30 – November 1, with a range of both friendly competitions and championship matches to be held across the event.

For those wanting to show off their skills and get in on the action, the schedule is as follows:

Friday, October 30 – Morning
Rocket League
– Friendly, single elimination best-of-three tournament
– 16 teams in a 2v2 format
– Giveaways

SMITE Oceania Regional Championship
– Both Semi Finals of the SMITE Oceania Regional Championship

Saturday, October 31

– Top four teams compete for a share of $65,000 in prize money, 1st to qualify for SMITE World Championships
– Bronze Match and Grand Finals of the SMITE Oceania Regional Championship

Halo 5

PAX Australia will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 30 October to 1 November, 2015 as part of Melbourne International Games Week and is organised by ReedPOP in conjunction with Penny Arcade.
