From Middle-earth to Melbourne: Andy Serkis Joins Supanova 2026

“We wants it. We needs it. Our Precious.” This April, Melbourne gets to share it. Screen legend Andy Serkis joins Supanova Comic Con & Gaming exclusively on Saturday, 18 April, bringing a touch of Middle-earth magic to the Melbourne Showgrounds (18–19 April 2026).

From redefining performance capture as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings to unforgettable turns in Black Panther and The Batman, Serkis has helped shape modern blockbuster cinema. A pioneer of digital performance, his work transformed the way characters are brought to life on screen.

Joining him exclusively in Melbourne are martial arts icon Michael Jai White, known for Spawn, Black Dynamite, and Arrow, alongside Jess Bush from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Action performer Martin Copping also appear exclusively to Melbourne, bringing gaming credentials from Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege and Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Across both the Gold Coast (11–12 April 2026) and Melbourne, fantasy fans can look forward to a formidable Middle-earth reunion as Graham McTavish and Stephen Hunter celebrate their shared legacy in The Hobbit Trilogy. McTavish’s commanding presence spans Outlander and The Witcher, while Hunter has journeyed into the MCU via Thor: Love and Thunder, and joins local legends John Jarratt of Wolf Creek and Lincoln Lewis of Home and Away to round out the live-action line-up.

Joining this wave of announcements is internationally acclaimed comic artist Peach Momoko, whose credits include Heavy Metal, Marvel’s Ultimate X-Men, and her acclaimed “Momoko-verse” line of titles. Blending traditional watercolour with modern anime and manga aesthetics, Momoko has become one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary comics.

Voice talent is equally strong in Melbourne, with Dom Dinh appearing exclusively following her work as Kopi in the smash hit game Date Everything!, alongside fellow Melbourne exclusive Jay Anthony Franke, Deus Ex’s own JC Denton. Franke reunites with Jennie Kwan for a special California Dreams moment, while Neil Fanning brings the unmistakable voice of the live-action Scooby-Doo films to both cities.

Supanova also advises, with a heavy heart, that Lou Diamond Phillips is no longer able to attend the April 2026 events due to a new film project commitment. We appreciate his continued support and look forward to welcoming him at a future Supanova.

These newly announced guests join an already stellar line-up including Jamie Campbell Bower (Stranger Things), Denise Richards (Starship Troopers), Tulsa King stars Frank Grillo and Garrett Hedlund, original Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson, Buffy the Vampire Slayer favourite James Marsters, Bonnie Wright (Harry Potter), cast members of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and leading voices from global anime hits including Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen and One Punch Man, making this Supanova tour one of the most expansive celebrations of film, television, anime, comics and gaming in the event’s history.

Day, Weekend, and strictly limited Supa-Q and VIP Supa-Star Passes are on sale now for this year’s Gold Coast and Melbourne events. Secure your Supanova tickets now, ahead of the release of Autographs and Photograph Tokens closer to April.
