Summary: An updated art style from the last installment and different stories helps this one be definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of the slasher horror genre.

Slasher fun

This was the other comic I got at Supanova Melbourne 2022 along with the Ozploitation featured one. In this one there is a double bill of slasher movies with The Acid House Massacre and In the Dead of the Night.

There are some different people working on this one so there is a slightly different feel to it, but I like it as it makes it unique and seems to step it up a notch with the cover being slick and there being some wicked use of colour during the stories.

I did enjoy that the storytelling does flip the traditional narrative in what you would expect with these stories in that there are no “good” people in the stories and no “final girl” in the traditional sense. A lot of horror stories are based on the same root but these at least attempt something original with sci-fi mashing into horror and folk stories thrown in.

This one would be worth getting with the Ozploitation story to have as a double bill if you are into movies and horror.
