FFXIV 4 million players & free login weekend
Free Login Campaign to Take Place Following Release of Patch 2.51 – Manderville Gold Saucer
SYDNEY (27th February 2015) – Square Enix Ltd., today announced that the total number of registered accounts for FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn™ now exceeds 4 million globally. *excludes accounts for Free Trail versions.
To celebrate the announcement of 4 million registered accounts a free log-in period will take place from Friday 27th February 08:00 GMT (19:00 AEDT / 21:00 NZDT) until Monday 9th March 08:00 GMT (19:00 AEDT / 21:00 NZDT). During this time, adventurers taking a break from Eorzea can once again experience all that FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn has to offer – free of charge!
The longer than usual free log-in campaign will also give players the chance to experience the newly implemented contents of Patch 2.51. Released earlier this week, Patch 2.51- Before the Fall features the highly anticipated Manderville Gold Saucer.
Eligibility
- Players who have previously purchased and registered FINAL FANTASY XIV and whose service account is set as inactive during the campaign period.
The title offers this growing community of players multiple gaming platform options from the PC to the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system (with Remote Play). With major patch updates including the most recent Patch 2.5 “Before the Fall,” and title’s first major expansion, HEAVENSWARD™, to be released Autumn 2015 – FINAL FANTASY: A Realm Reborn offers players exciting new playable content on a regular basis.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is available now on the PlayStation®3 system, PlayStation®4 system and Windows PC. A free 30-day trial is included for new accounts, with monthly subscriptions starting at $19.95. The game recently surpassed 2.5 million adventurers worldwide.
