Everything is Crab reveals its final form today

The origin of a new species is here! The evolutionary roguelite Everything is Crab is emerging from the ocean and bursting forth onto PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, with an SRP of $9.99/£6.99/€9.99 and a 10% launch discount on Steam.

Everything is Crab is the debut game from Odd Dreams Digital, a small team who began as individual, experienced developers and have now merged into a multi-headed indie beast. With the help of purple shore publisher Secret Mode, the team have raised and nurtured Everything is Crab from a fantastic idea into an even better full release.

Become Darwin, an amorphous blue blob with infinite potential, thrown into a living ecosystem where you need to feed and avoid becoming food. Fight and flee as you feast on fruit, fungi, and/or flesh to level up. Choose from over 100 evolutions and more than 20 specialisations granting new arms, legs, wings, eyes, fur, and so, so much more to help you carve out your own niche on the evolutionary tree.

Violence isn’t always the answer! Everything is Crab lets you play your way, from aggressive carnivores to peace-loving vegans, and everything in between. Go with all-out aggression and kill everything in sight, charm others to do your dirty work, or take a sneaky route and chow down on carrion while your enemies are distracted. Try out new genetics at the start of each run for new bonuses and splice genetics together to create over 200 unique starting builds for further playstyle experimentation.

Face off against enormous boss monsters, either taking them down in epic battles or dodging their attacks until they run away crying. Roam all day and night through rain-soaked greenery, dusty deserts and frozen tundras in search of points of interest to give your creature a stats boost. Witness the rapid evolution of everything else around you and adapt to survive as the fittest… or get Darwin’d trying.

Up the ante with twenty levels of pressure, providing new twists and tribulations to your runs. Take on 12 ferocious challenges that will test all your skills, from overwhelming environments to ridiculous boss rushes, with more to come in the future. Look back on all your stats and the variations of animals you meet in your Codex. Complete achievements to unlock fresh cosmetics for your evolutions and give Darwin some additional flair. And don’t forget to save a GIF of your funky little creature at the end of each run to show off your weird and wonderful creation.
