Welcome to the new Edifier ES300 Tabletop Wireless Speaker!

From a technical standpoint, the ES300 delivers 60W RMS in total, driven by a 4-inch long‑throw mid‑bass driver (30W) and dual 1.25-inch silk‑dome tweeters (15W each), supported by a full digital signal processing chain that includes a two‑way active crossover and dynamic range control for cleaner output at higher volumes. Its frequency response of 56Hz–40kHz gives it surprising reach for a speaker of this size and codec support spans SBC, LDAC, and ALAC via AirPlay 2, ensuring high‑resolution playback across both Bluetooth 5.4 and dual‑band Wi‑Fi. The internal 5200mAh lithium‑ion battery rounds out the package with up to 12 hours of portable listening.

The Edifier ES300 Tabletop Wireless Speaker is an impressive looking high-resolution sound desktop or bookshelf speaker that is available in either black (reviewed) or white. With dual silk dome tweeters (1.25”), long-throw drivers (4” Mid-Bass) enhanced by advanced DSP with bass technologies plus 30W speakers, the ES300 will carve out a nice audio niche in your room. It also comes with ambient lighting options plus a whopping 12-hours of battery life and given its size (165W x 277D x 165H mm) and weight (3.7 kg), makes it portable enough to transport its immersive audio anywhere in your home or even outdoors.

As of this review (March 2026), the Edifier ES300 Speaker retails for $399 and is aimed at the audio connoisseur and/or those looking for something aesthetically pleasing in their home which the ES300 is, thanks to its simple, almost Nordic design with immersive lighting features. The ES300 supports BT5.4 and WiFi, including a myriad of audio transmission standards such as ALAC, LDAC, SBC and AirPlay 2, ensuring most of your devices can easily connect and transmit quality audio. The ES300 also comes with everything you need to start your immersive audio experience, including an AC power cable, 3.5mm AUD cable and a USB-A to USB-C cable for direct connectivity courtesy of its DAC/AMP.

Well packed, the first thing that I noticed about the Edifier ES300 was its overall build quality that boasted a minimalistic design with metallic accents, fabric grill and capacitive controls (which illuminate) that are well-placed at the top of the unit, including accessible inputs at the rear. For those looking for a neutral device, the ES300 is that because its colouring would not look out of place in any home or office.

The enclosure itself is constructed from 15mm MDF and wrapped in a leather‑like material that feels premium in the hand and visually elevates the retro‑modern aesthetic. Around the back, the dual bass‑reflex ports help reinforce low‑frequency performance, while the underside houses two long rubber feet that keep the ES300 stable on desks or shelves. The ambient LED bar, limited to warm white and soft yellow tones, complements the vintage design language rather than competing with it.

On the bottom of the speaker is the lightbar that offers soft ambient lighting and can be controlled via the Edifier Home app. The control bar on top also illuminates, making it ideal for a dark or dimly lit room and displaying the battery level with its five LEDs.

Once you find the home for your new audio buddy, you need to wirelessly connect it to your device — for me, that was my smartphone and for wired, my PC through USB. By installing the Edifier Home app, it will give you more control of the device such as changing the ambient lighting, EQ settings, skipping tracks and volume which is handy if you don’t want to get up.

From an audio quality perspective, the ES300 produces clear and loud audio via both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, including wired via USB. Bass was strong, without any distortion and additionally excellent audio levels across the range. The device handled all music genres from hard rock to classic, pop and even audiobooks with no concerns whatsoever. I also like how you can swap between two simultaneous Bluetooth connections that expands the usage of the ES300.

One of the more surprising traits of the ES300 is its perceived stereo separation. Despite being a single enclosure, the wide driver spacing and DSP tuning create the illusion of a broader soundstage than expected. Edifier also allows two ES300 units to be paired for true left/right stereo, which would deliver a genuinely room‑filling experience. However, while the feature is appealing, purchasing two units pushes the total cost into premium territory, making it a luxury rather than a practical setup for most users. Thankfully one-unit sounds impressive!

Final Thoughts

The Edifier ES300 is a stylish and sonically capable tabletop speaker that blends high-resolution audio with modern design sensibilities. Its dual silk dome tweeters and long-throw mid-bass drivers deliver a rich, distortion-free soundstage across genres, while the ambient lighting and capacitive controls add a touch of elegance to any space. Whether you’re streaming wirelessly or connecting directly via USB, the ES300 produces crystal clear audio with punchy bass that is ideal for both audiophiles and design-conscious users alike.
